Past History

Glowfrog Studios - Glowfrog was founded in London in 1996 as one of the first dedicated visualisation studios to emerge from the London architectural scene, cited as the birthplace of CG architectural visualisation, pioneered in the early 1990's. The studio grew and expanded into broadcast TV visual effect as well as independent feature films.

In architecture, the studio worked with many of the world's top-100 architects and developers including; Foster and Partners, Zaha Hadid, HOK, Gensler, Lendlease and Emaar.

The studio closed in 2016 after 20-years of business operation.

ReplicaNation - Creator of the first online 3D library of real-world product designed furniture. It was formed during the dot-com boom of the late 1990's with venture-capital financial backing. The business expanded to employ 65 staff with it's website and 3D software quickly becoming globally successful with more than 20,000 users accessing digital content from 50 world-leading furniture brands including Knoll, Vitra, B+B Italia, Herman Miller, Zonotta, Humanscale.

Nigel studied architectural design in Christchurch, New Zealand. He was destined to follow in his fathers footsteps in joining the family firm - one of New Zealand's oldest architectural practices, Collins Architects (formally Collins and Harman dating back to the 1880's).

However, his passion for adventure, like many Kiwis, drove him to leave New Zealand and see the world, eventually running out of cash in 1992 in London. One of his first UK jobs was for Sega Europe, which sparked an interest in computer graphics and lead him to vocational studying AutoCAD 3D, graphic design, and 3D Studio (DOS).
